There’s a new treat on the block and I see it being in weekly rotation- Bear Bars! Why Bear? Well, honey instead of sugar, that’s why. The Gentleman and I have been devouring (like bears) these as a filling, but sweet treat, a bit like a homemade Kind bar, but kind of better!

Bear Bars
- 3 c. rolled oats
- 4 c. mixed nuts, craisins, and/or raisins
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 bar of milk or dark chocolate
- 1 c. peanutbutter
- 1 c. honey
- In a large bowl, combine oats, mixed nuts/dried fruits, salt, and cinnaomon.
- In a medium saucepan, combine peanutbutter and honey. Mix over medium heat until smooth.
- Turn heat to low and once you see bubbles around the edge of the pan, cook for five minutes, stirring frequently.
- Pour peanutbutter mixture over bowl of oat mixture and mix until well combined.
- Press coated mixture into a 9×13″ pan.
- Drizzle with the melted chocolate of one chocolate bar and sprinkle with flaky sea salt.
- Keep in refrigerator.
