After test driving a night at the Sina Centurian Palace, along with the gorgeous meal at Antinoos, we were hooked! The building itself is an architectural dream. Pulling up to it in a water taxi, really gave the stay a special start.

After booking a standard room with Tablet (my first time using this service), we were doubly upgraded to a much higher category. The room featured a king bed and this odd, but fun (sound proofing?) structure.

However, for me the best part is always a free standing bath. Not knowing this was coming, I was elated and like a little kid near a pool, jumped straight into sudsy water. Perfect after a very sunny, hot transfer from the airport.

A large wardrobe offered plenty of storage and built in safe.

The view was over the courtyard. While it wasn’t the Grand Canal, it was gorgeous.

The bathroom was a gilt wonder. Absolutely trippy.

How lovely to be pleasantly surprised with an upgrade two categories. A bottle of complimentary prosecco and a few sweet treats (and $50 resto credit) had me equally impressed with Tablet as I was the hotel. We will be back.
