Ahead of our trip to Iseo, I read about Osteria Ca de Cindri and knew that The Husband would love it as he has a penchance for anything “grill.” The simple exterior and iron signage set the scene for a rustic, but delicious meal to follow.

The Husband selected a Tomahawk steak with with a weight that included our wedding anniversary in its size, so despite it’s caveman proportions, we went ahead with it and opted out of a first plate.

Cooked beautifully, with an inexpensive, but very tasty red wine, we tucked in, pairing bites with simply grilled polenta and a fresh salad. Also, not pictured, was a small sampling of finishing salts that we worked our way through to discover which worked best with our steak. It was such a fun dinner, with kind staff, and a welcome glass of anniversary bubbly. I’d certainly repeat strategy of skipping starters and return when back in Iseo.
