A small neighborhood restaurant with great reviews showcases the front of house run by the husband and kitchen run by the wife of a charming local couple. Enjoying watching the children of said couple play and dine on burgers alongside doting parents definitely made the place feel familial and a special find. A glass of prosecco and focaccia samples didn’t hurt either.

A shared local cheese heated over a bed of greens was just okay and certainly didn’t steal the show.

The plate of local fritti sure did make the cut though. Fried arancini, macaroni, and bruschetta felt like a starter only a child could dream up- thank goodness for sharing.

That’s when the fun stopped and we met the worst pasta in the world. Eggplant stuffed ravioli seemed like an easy order, but the overcooked pasta housed what can only be described as a mush akin to baby food. To make matters worse, the whole mess was smothered in a red sauce seemingly from a can. Absolutely awful and inedible. Literally three ravioli were consumed from this dish.

The other dish sampled, cuttlefish Bolognese presented better, but again didn’t hold up on the taste front.

Sadly, Bienvenuti in Casa, which had the makings of being so cute, just can’t make the cut for a Sorrento recommendation.
