Casa Tua- Sorrento

on

Casa Tua is a boho-chic establishment and probably one of the tastiest restaurants you could be lucky enough to try in Sorrento. With vibes that feel more Cali or Bali, this small restaurant is tucked away at the end of a busy shopping street.

The tables are small and the vibe is decidedly locale. The owner makes rounds to tell details of the menu and discuss the hand-painted plates.

Definitely not my mood, but it was my plate.

Fresh flowers made the boho chic bar even more homey.

Shared starters included the sea bas crudo served on another work of art, low bowl.

The tuna tartare with wasabi cream was the real standout starter.

The most delicious of mains, I had the cacio e pepe pasta topped with Sicilian red prawn tartare accented well with lime zest. Cooked perfectly, this could have been a standout of all my time in Sorrento.

The restaurant also offers a surprise tasting menu that had I been with different company would have been a fun experiment. Don’t go here if you are looking for Italian classics, this seafood forward gem of a find is far more modern and fresh.
