You may recall what a lovely evening was shared a few years ago at the Restaurant Nolinski in Paris. On a recent visit to the city of lights I was hoping to enjoy an evening of high end bar crawls, but thanks to a wedding, my main target was closed and another was absolutely rammed. Wandering the streets debating bistro after bistro, we landed at Nolinski for another memorable evening of delicious food and live music.

Rather than order mains, we opted for sharing many small plates included tuna crudo topped with a tangy slaw.

Then there was the beetroot salad with crispy rice cakes, citrus, and goat cheese. Absolutely delicious.

We also shared the burrata with broccoli and pesto, a dish worthy of recreating for summer.

Naturally, my favorite dish of the night I failed to snap a photo of which was the restaurant’s signature salmon rillettes with the lightest, fluffiest homemade potato bread. We both filled up on this one and cited bread as dessert rather than a sweet.

How lovely to have a dependable special restaurant in central Paris. Thanks again, Nolinski.
