Korean

One unseasonably chilly evening, The Husband took me for a surprise dinner that turned out to be Choi’s in the List neighborhood.

Low key, buzzy, with a line out the door, you knew it would be good before even sitting down.

We started with a seafood pancake- me- and some Korean fried chicken in two sauces- him.

Honestly the food was so delicious, the evening could have easily ended right then and there.

It did not end there. We followed it with a lovely Korean bbq of a few types of meat. Served with rice, kimchi, and accouterments, it was quite nice, but had nothing on the starters.

I’ll happily return any day of the week for that perfectly cooked pancake. I’ve already be researching recipes to recreate it at home.
