Terrazza M22, the Best Pasta at Venice Lido

The views of Venice Lido are pretty unmatched- a peaceful swath of soft brown sand and usually tranquil sea. I always like to look across the Adriatic for Croatia, thinking I’m closer than I probably am, as it has yet to happen. Couple these idyllic views with some exceptionally delicious pasta and you will find one happy lady.

…said happy lady (looking a hair crazy and with a crazy hair).

This was hands down the best pasta of my Italy trip this round, very sorry Ristorante Riviera, my usual number one. My ravioli was gorgeously al dente and filled with a liquid pecorino. Decorated with a favorite, rock shrimp, that were perfectly cooked. And it was all coated in a simple, ever so slightly spicy tomato sauce. Absolutely incredible!

The Husband opted for a spicy lobster paccheri which is surprisingly coated in a dusting of Parmesan. The bite he shared was a strong contender also for the number one pasta spot. The kind waiter also brought him an extra spicy pepper, diced to add to the dish.

M22 gave us truly incredible food with a seafront view and we seemed to dine among some well heeled locals. When the bill came, it had a few items on it that we did not order, so just be conscious of a scan through before you pay. I’d like to think it was an honest mistake, but I guess you never know in a holiday destination. I can’t wait to recreate these dishes chez nous!
