For my first trip to Bologna, with the need to be in close(ish) proximity to the conference center, we selected the Aemilia Hotel. The hotel seemed to be full of pilots and flight crew as well as equipped with many meeting rooms and a lively bar that was well conducive for work. The common spaces are full of bright, boho decorations and the rooftop bar has lovely views of the city, but you must bring your own drinks.

The hotel room was large, plenty of room for full sized suitcases, and had a fun lighting design to create many different ambiances.

The working area was perfect, whether for a video call or glass of bubbly.

The bathroom was spacious with separate toilet area, a large shower (although the pressure could have been better), and an ample vanity for all the tiny bottles.

The view from the room was nothing exciting, but large windows provided plenty of fresh air. Just one floor above, however, the roof deck brought sweeping 360 degrees of Bologna.

The Aemilia hotel was very comfortable and well positioned and easily commutable to both the city center and the convention area. I would highly recommend and look forward to another stay.
