One very snowy day in Zurich, the first of the season perhaps, we were lucky enough to check-in to the Hyatt Place located in Zurich’s ‘The Circle.’ While I thought my partner had booked the Hyatt proper, we were both surprised to end up here, but it seemed warm and friendly enough. We also learned, it was oversold and were grateful to have gotten on an earlier connection.

As we checked into the room, we were surprised that it was made up with a sofa bed as well, but didn’t think much of it. Ten minutes later, a knock at the door – someone who we thought was coming to fix the broken tv, was another guest entering ‘her room.’ The hotel had double booked the room and I image we shouldn’t have gotten it since it was made up for 3 or 4, but I’m glad we did.

The strange ceiling design element makes you think perhaps the same cult that designed The Circle left their mark here as well.

A non functional tv, but nice area for stashing stuff.

The bathroom brought further committment to the cult symbol, but was clean enough.

Overall, would I stay here again due to the confusion with the room? Probably not. The Hyatt Zurich is definitely the airport hotel to use, but this could do in a pinch– just be sure to be first.
