After touring the cathedral and ahead of our cellar visit at Veuve Cliquot, I found myself starving! We lucked into a non-touristic spot charmingly named La Chevre et Menthe. With a two plate daily special at just 20 EUR, what’s not to love? I started with a ham and cheese pie that could have been a main. I look forward to recreating this at home!

I was torn on the daily main specials…quiche…or pot of melty cheese. You can see which way I went while the Gentleman went for the quiche. I confirm I won the meal in a big way.

Simultaneously rustic and decadent, La Chevre et Menthe was a real local find. Make sure you’re lucky enough to find a table in the small resto ahead of your champagne tour too.
