Decimo at The Standard London

on

Reading about Decimo and it’s delicious Mexican delights of course had us booking in for brunch on our quick weekend jaunt to The Standard. The atmosphere truly has you transported to Tulum and the large spacious area seems to host lots of fun events like monthly salsa dancing.

Open fire was everywhere from the dining room to the kitchen. If it weren’t for the panoramic London views, you really could be very close to some Caribbean blue waters.

Our cozy nook for Saturday brunch.

We selected the sharing chicken tacos which came with a bounty of accoutrements including a cabbage salad, pickled jalapenos, and red and green salsa. Since it was an indulgent meal, we also opted to try the friend potatoes and neon orange aioli. While I’ve never the biggest fan of ordering chicken in a restaurant (because I make it so much at home) this was out of this world. Wrapped in warm corn tortillas with a sip of margarita, was every bit as flavorful as if found in a more tropical locale.

While not a bargain lunch the service, atmosphere, and food would definitely have me returning for a Decimo dinner, even if the hotel below had me wishing to stay somewhere with nicer Standards.
