  • Gelatolandia: Small walk-up in Lido with daily changing flavors including an exceptional lemon sorbet
  • Majeur: Multiple locations with great snacks. Bakery and wine bar.

TIPPLES

  • Hotel Cipriani: If you can’t snag a poolside lunch reservation, stop by for a Bellini or twelve and people watching.
  • Harry’s Bar: Same Cipriani group makes more Bellinis in this classic location.

TASTE

  • Al Cavaliere: Easy spot for a snack from the Lido beach or meal at odd time.
  • Al Profeta: Hidden rustic restaurant with excellent food and kind staff.
  • Antinoo’s: Excellent food in an intimate setting, but skip the desserts.
  • Gio’s: Canalside fine dining at the St. Regis.
  • La Caravella: Classic Venetian cuisine in a moody, wooden dining room.
  • Lineadombra: Upscale Dosoduro with a grand terrace over the canal.
  • Ristorante Riviera: An absolute favorite. Everything on the menu is worth a try.
  • Venissa: Now a vegetarian only restaurant with it’s own vinyard and varietal.

  • Mazzorboro: A secret island connected via bridge to Burano and hosting the perfection that is the Venissa complex
  • Burano: Crayon-box colored island home to lace, cookies, and many, many tourists. Go early.
  • Lido: Beach locale of the Venice Film Festival. Go or stay as a respite from the mainland of Venice
