On our only night in Basel, we found ourselves in the middle of a very cold, windy rainstorm, naturally without an umbrella, a common theme in our outings. Debating on staying put or going out, we opted for an early dinner at Artigiano Pizza in Basel. I’m so glad we did because it was absolutely delicious!

This sign by the kitchen was a joke the staff seemed to find hilarious, especially given that they didn’t sell Hawaiian pizza in this Napoleon establishment.

I took the server’s advice and went with a creation she made. I couldn’t tell you want it’s called, but this pizza along with so many others on the menu sounded delicious. Fresh with a perfectly chewy crust, I’d be sure to return, just not when the craving for a Hawaiian hits.
