On a quick overnight in Basel ahead of an early morning flight, we stayed at the Schwizerhof just outside of the main train station. For a three star hotel, I was rather impressed with the spacious room that featured it’s own elevator arrival- a real first! It also held many electric ceiling windows, and a full bath plus a half, perfect for his and hers. I’m not sure how we got so lucky with this giant room, but I would certainly request it again during the next visit to this former villa.
