For a quick overnight we headed to The Gantry in London for a first stay. An easy ride on the Elizabeth line from Heathrow, The Gantry is an excellent crashpad for the Stratford area and makes the city easily accessible thanks to the area’s extensive transit network.

We booked the room on a deal, which meant that it was an accessible one and despite not needing it, the hotel said they were booked full so couldn’t rearrange. This was fine for our quick jaunt and offered a large room and bath. The whole stay was simple, but comfortable, with attentive service, a nice breakfast, and rooftop bar alongside STK steakhouse which would have to wait for another visit.
