After so much travel and celebration, we chose Secrets Moxche near Playa del Carmen for some relaxation time to plant our toes in the sand and not too much else. While in the past I haven’t been the biggest fan of an all inclusive vacation- mainly because I’m here for nice food and drinks and the “all-in” concept can be a bit iffy in that department…but Secrets Moxche delivered a great honeymoon. After reviewing many, many beach options, we settled on Moxche because of the excellent food reviews and that it is a newer property, hopefully meaning the rooms would be fresh. It turns out that the food was delcious, property was spotless, spa was gorgeous, and the service couldn’t have been too much kinder.

There was plenty of relaxing in the sun, along with trips into town (that’s looking a bit worse for wear), tennis, volleyball, theme nights, a nightclub, and watersports. Every day was different, which is easy to do on such a large property boasting nine pools and a white sand beach. I have no reservations in recommending this property, but know the beach isn’t the prettiest, with sandbags in the water to stop the ever ongoing seaweed problem. We knew this before and were very happy with our choice for such a special vacation. While we are physically, mentally, and financially exhausted at this moment, it’s definitely fun to imagine returning already.
