After the drive back to Miami, we dropped the rental and headed to the Four Seasons with reckless abandon as it was the first time staying at one of our beloved brunch properties. Staying as part of the wedding group, this was probably the only way we’d ever be able to enjoy such a place, at least for now, so we were looking to maximize our time there.
Upon check in, we were kindly upgraded, thanks to our own honeymoon, to a 2 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom “residence.” Holy guacamole, this was hands down the most insane room I’d ever stayed in and I’m quite certain was larger than any apartment I’d had for quite literally the last thirteen years. After running from room to room snapping photos, in awe, we headed straight for the pool where we enjoyed three blissful days chatting with friends and mingling with the Cleveland Cavliers (all of them) and Johnathan Van Ness. We used the amazing Equinox gym a few times, enjoyed a gorgeous poolside lunch, and conspired how on earth we could ever make this happen again. The service was excellent, including some odd requests I had for the concierge. The wedding was beautiful and we hated to leave the next day, in fear that nothing would live up to the weekend. (Spoiler alert: it did).
