Palazzo Veneziano

If you’re going to show up to Venice for a bit of a romantic whim (or a rather planned whim, 9 months on the calendar, make Palazzo Veneziano your first stop!

I can’t tell you how much I love this hotel (also The Gentleman). Next level on all accords. x

Gorgeous Venetian glass in a tricky outside wind tunnel, impractical but gorgeous, yes please.

This framed the cooridor that led to a lovely seating area, hidden in plain sight from the rest of Dorsoduro.

The lobby (not pictured) was also lovely, as was the extensive breakfast room just off of it. The stations were incredibly well kept by staff and if you removed one potato, one would be immediately replenished as to not interrupt the balance of the buffet universe. Pro-tip: load up on fresh fruit and the homemade tiramisu, a true leveled up breakfast experience.

Our room category was a honeymoon suite, an absolute treat! Italian beds are notoriously hard with terrible pillows, but this was one of the best of the bunch.

A small desk infront of the staircase(!) made an excellent area for room aperitivo.

While there are no wardrobes (downstairs) there is the perfect hanging nook to dry wet coats from the rain.

A small cupboard housed the safe and minifridge.

The bathroom featured a sizable shower with great water pressure that made my home shower very jealous.

The view from the spacious room looked onto a fairly quiet canal and some sort of official building, allowing people to be present, but neither rowdy or desolate, an excellent balance in Venice.

The loft area of the room was truly incredible. A showstopping massive jacuzzi tub (under a fun disco light) was well used and smartly located off of the second bathroom and closet. It’s all so dramatic with the fainting chaise and in its own space, I just loved it.

The seperate closet featured just enough space to hide a suitcase or store special attire out of the way.

The second bath I never used, but it was lovely to have a his and hers situation going on in a hotel room. Mystery makes the heart grow fonder?

Palazzo Veneziano killed it from room to food to service. This is a clear winner for anyone who is planning a most special trip, or a quite ordinary trip, though I suppose no jaunt to Venice ever is.
