For a ladies’ weekend who would be bouncing all over the city, we opted for the super central, Apex Temple Court Hotel. Set in a business district, the weekend was quiet with some restaurants closed, but things picked up during the week. A stone’s throw from Covent Garden, the proximity was perfect for getting around on foot or by taxi.
This elephant roams the exterior courtyard.

We opted for a standard room and it was just that- your standard hotel room. After a couple confusing phone calls, we were told we could have 2 beds in the room which we promptly moved apart to get a good night’s sleep. Housekeeping came late in the day, but did a good job refreshing thoroughly each day.

The rooms came with these darling ducks that cozied up in our robes.

The bathroom was nearly as large as the room which was excellent for two ladies’ toiletry ‘stuff.’ There were plenty of shelves to store it.

There was a large tub that never got used, but seemed perfectly clean as well.

If you’re looking for a no-frills hotel in a central location, Apex Temple Court is for you. There’s also a small bar and an excellent breakfast.
