The seaside in the south of the UK holds a special place in the heart of the gentleman, so he planned a weekend away for us so I could see for myself. We stayed at the moody, but stately Morton’s Manor in Corfe.

Each nook of the property was more charming than the next, in particular the side entry, planted with the most gorgeous roses, inspiring my garden dreams of summers to come.

The back of the property was a stunning terrace just off of the bar and restaurant with an elongated lily pad pond throughout.

The inside furnishings were even more darling than the outside with tartan carpets and plush cozy couches. The check in desk felt particularly on brand too.

Our room on the second floor was modest, but cozy with homey furnishings and a sweet vibe.

The sage green, girly feeling continued in the bathroom with a large walk-in shower.

A small closet did the job just fine.

The view from our room was to the garden below where we saw chefs trimming herbs for dinner. The room was sold as a castle view, but the mist and fog had other ideas. It’s back there somewhere!

After we settled in, the gentleman booked us a tea, because…. well… Brits!

We opted for savory and sweet mix as well as some bubbles to accompany the cuppa.

In the mornings, breakfast was served in the elegant dining room with buffets of fruits and yogurts with a small hot menu to order. I opted for the smoked salmon and eggs each day.

Morton’s Manor really gave a cozy, wonderful weekend with the design, service, and details that were all top notch. After a weekend of wandering along the coast, hiking up hills, and chilly beach time, Morton’s Manor was the perfect place to come home.
