Caleta Playa- Malaga

Oh…the last day of vacation blues are always hard…but with views like these it seemed essential to have a final toes-in-the-sand sort of lunch to bid Malaga farewell.

The many beachfront restaurants had various apparatus for grilling fish en plein air…Calete Playa opted for a small rowboat of hot coals.

Lunch brought us (as always) a bottle of icy cold cava and a platter of perfectly ripe tomatoes drizzled with the local olive oil. Simple, perfect.

Followed by some razor clams. So sharp.

As nearly every meal, we included some Gallacian style octopus.

Caleta Playa had very friendly service, clean restrooms for being on the beach and tons of delicious, but simple food options. It’s an excellent spot for a quick pop out of the sun for a midday meal.
