Celebrating a the start to another trip around the sun, brought a warm, easy day in London, strolling around Christmas markets, and just taking in the festive time of year. We landed at Heard Burger in Borough for a quick bite before crossing back across the river. After reading about a reasonably priced burger by a two star Michelin chef, I knew this had to be in the cards for us soon.

The burgers come with both wine and beer recommendations. Naturally, my truffle burger suggested a glass of natural champagne, so I had to oblige.

If champagne at a Monday lunch isn’t extra enough, you could always follow The Husband, and have a crack at the caviar topped burger he ordered.

My truffle burger, was divine, packed full of flavor, not some essence of truffle nonsense, and was satisfying, indulgent, yet not at all greasy.

After returning from the ladies,’ I was greeted with this darling birthday ice cream sandwich. I can’t say I had high hopes for it, but it was incredible! Thin brownies, that were perfectly chewy, bookended a perfectly, simple yet delicious vanilla ice cream. It cut beautifully in half to share.

The food was very quick and service just as attentive and with a smile and kind word, perfect for a small, but celebratory occasion. Thank you, Heard Burger!
