After a <gulp> decade or so of Macarons and Mayhem, it’s time for a refresh! Welcome to the renewed focus of the site, a never ending quest for fabulous travel and delicious food. Meet, A Taste for Travel. Expect the same hotel and restaurant reviews, whether gushing, annoyed, sarcastic, or witty; they’re honest. The recipes remain straightforward without all the backstory and scrolling as with many sites.

Now you can also expect adventures from married life and expat living – stay tuned for the next big one(!). We’re leaving behind the former obsession of macarons and alliterative ‘mayhem’ that once meant solo travel and cocktail exploration. In our 40’s, mayhem looks a little different: staying up past 11PM and landing in a new city without a restaurant reservation.
